Mid-Texas Meet this weekend
 

Just to squash any confusion I may have created here are the details:

Time: This weekend (Sat, 6/28) at 11:00

Location: Shelley Pate State Park Buffalo, Tx

Houston group take the 79 exit, turn right and then turn left onto the service road. It's right up on the right where the water tower is.

Dallas group take the 164 exit, cross over the hwy and turn right on the 2 way service road. It's down on the left.

Austin group will probably come in on 79.

Bring a cooler with whatever you want to eat and drink. We can decide at some point if we want to go for a drive or whatever. It's more or less just an opportunity to meet new members and hang out with old ones.

There is a new pavilion where we will be that has some tables for food and such. Bring a chair just in case.

I will be there around 10:30 to secure us a spot. Try and be on time if possible. It gets difficult shooing people away the later it gets.

Caravan...must be nice. I honestly think I'm the only guy from Dallas that actually drives his car. Or maybe just the only one that wants to go to a meet. Either way, I'll be coming alone...

Just heard from the shipping company that my car will arrive Saturday. They will not give a time yet until later this week. If they do anything mid to late afternoon I am in but will leave a little early to get back. Stay tuned!

For the Houston guys we will meet at the Outlet Mall in Conroe at 9 am Saturday. You will take I-45 N north of Conroe to the League Line Rd exit. Mall will be on your right. My wife and jss06c's wife are going.

UPDATE: Just heard from the shipping company. They had some conflicts and will be picking the car up today and delivering it on Monday. Not sure why they did not contact me yesterday but oh well. I know they are a very good company so I will roll with it. So that means I can come tomorrow with the '12. See you at the outlet mall at 9am.

Wife has other things going on so it will be solo. Going to be this coming Monday on the delivery.

Right now with the rain we have been getting here I don't know if I will get out of the driveway tomorrow AM. The road if front of the house is up to my knees.

I grew up in this area. Water should go down pretty quick. We get water across road on either side of us fairly regular. Stays only few hours after rain stops.

Probably a bunch more fun going via 90 Through Anderson unless there is flooding, rather than 45. My plan is to leave about 0800 and help hold some parking spots at the park.

Great meet up guys and gals. We made it home safe and sound. Tons of traffic south of the Woodlands as the toll road and feeder were flooded.

Had a blast, guys. Had to send a SRT8 Charger back to finishing school on the way home. They just never seem to learn...
