I did that and it said that the room rate was not applicable to those dates. Maybe I’m reading it wrong. Sun-Tue should mean checkout on Wednesday morning? I don’t want to be THAT guy who has no where for the wife and I to sleep for that night.... lol!

Sounds like a plan Jim, just need to see the family schedule of events in NJ that weekend. My Uncle will turn 95 and there is a family get together. We will talk and get this organized as we get closer. Dan is going direct to BG on Wednesday.

Definitely, This may be the first Mountain Run where I have cash with me.

Re: Mountain Run 7

We have to keep Steve under control on the blackjack tables. The way he goes after every bit of horsepower, refusing to leave one pony behind, I am afraid the same would translate to the game tables.
We will have to protect him as I can see him taking a hit on 19 or 20=D>

Re: Mountain Run 7

Is there any official propaganda that I can post to their sites and Facebook pages/groups advertising the C4 Gathering other than from the NCM website? I’d really like to see a strong turnout this year for the Gathering as well as MR7 so I’d be happy to promote these events where I can but was hoping for a “poster” of some sorts to use.

I've got a friend that might be interested in MR7. Good point Chris, I linked her to the site, but it would be nice to have a place to send her.

MR7 - UPDATED INFO

Heya - just got back from a lengthy stay in outer space (wherever that is) and everyone needs to know that black Vettes absolutely ROCK in black holes.

OK - the MR7 email blast went out earlier today. If you DIDN'T receive it PM me here if you are planning to attend MR7. If you did receive the email and doing MR7, send me a reply ASAP.

IMPORTANT: get your hotel reservations made for Cherokee NC. Harrah's Casino is where we're staying Sun-Tue (if you're staying for the full run) and you MUST locate a different hotel for Sat night - info in email. Confused? post here and I'll try to help.

ALSO IMPORTANT: if you're going to the BG gathering make your hotel reservations NOW and also go ahead and sign up for the gathering.

Do check out the tentative routes HERE

I think we have a great selection of routes this year and Cherokee is an excellent base camp. Let me know if you have questions, concerns, or suggestions.

Reservations made with Harrah's, Gunny, NCM and Holiday Inn. I will be bringing a FL friend named Tom this year. He will be driving his 100 point NCRS 1,700 mile 1990 Polo Green/Saddle ZR-1. He is looking forward to getting some driving time with it now. Will see you all for Tuesday MR7 and Wednesday BG caravan. My Quasar is good to go. No parts needed for me this year, knock on wood!!!

Would like to thank Gunny for all his hard work in putting together Mountain Run 7 we had a great time! Scheduled photo stops were amazing. All the plan food stops were a real treat with each having it's own local flare. The planning that Gunny did in advance was extraordinary and made the adventure one we will never forget. If you have never been to one of Gunny's Mountain Runs it should be on your bucket list! We will be back next year. Again thank you Gunny.

And a HUGE shout out to all who attended ... you are the special people who make the event worthwhile, fun, and memorable. I'll post photos as soon as I get them processed, edited, and uploaded ... and there were some fun photos taken for sure.

MR8 is already being planned -- details to follow.

I’d like to also send out a big round of thanks to Gunny as well! Nina and I have gone the last 3 years and each year I’m completely blown away as to the prep work, recon and organizing for this event! Thanks isn’t enough to cover you for all that you do for us!

As for MR8, let’s get some stuff going early and let me know what we need to know so I may get the word out early! I seriously want to increase attendance to this event! Far too many folks are missing out on your masterpiece!

Thanks again.... you sir are truly one of a kind! Talk with you soon!

Chris
