Does anyone own a Z that was delivered new in Canada? If so does it have the UJ6 option on it?

ALL ZR-1s should have the UJ6 option...UJ6----Indicator, Low Tire Pressure Warning

i've questioned this myself? my 90 was sold in my hometown. number 1706. i'm the 2nd owner as of last July. on all my paperwork it, UJ6, never shows up. GM vehicle inquiry system summary, GM vintage vehicle services, repo build sheet from the museum. i haven't owned the car long enough to physicaly have the tires off the rims. must be something to your question. interesting.

Re: Canadian delivery

The reason I ask, a person in our NCRS Chapter has a 90 low milage and his RPO sheet ( on the consul lid) has no UJ6. He broke down his original tires and there were no sensors in the wheel.

must be something to this then. maybe in time this will become a semi rare non-option? from all the bad stories i'm not disappointed that's for sure. kinda cool. us Canadian's still have the DRL to deal with though. i modified mine so i have control of it now.

Re: Canadian delivery

DRL? i put a resistor in line right at the light sensor in the dash right above the speedo. i think it was 4 ohm's? i can double check later if you like. i bought like half a dozen when i did mine. those things are dirt cheap. feel embaresd going in to buy one:o . works slick. wouldn't have it any other way now.
wow was i way off! the resistor i used is a ¼ watt & 100 ohms. let me know if you need help.

Daytime Running Lights - the lights automatically switch on when you start the car as a safety feature

Re: Canadian delivery

i think its actually the fog lamps that act as running lights...i want to get rid of the lights flipping on every time i encounter some shadow with the car...can you check the resistor value ?
thanks

Re: Canadian delivery

check my earlier post.
what the DRL lights are, is the signal/park lights. the signal is brighter than the park function. the DRL is the bright side of the bulb (signal) on continuously except when using the signal function. that's not really a big deal. it's the headlight's popping up like when a cloud goes over. as you stated very, very annoying. but no, it doesn't have anything to do with the fog lights.
