I had it on the lift over the weekend and found that the welds around both pipes at the front are cracked almost all the way around. It's like the resonator is breaking away from the two pipes. I was hoping someone that converted to and X pipe had one laying around. If I can't find one, I may be putting on a new system or upgrading the 3" and install those power effects mufflers.

Yeah, I'm just not sure if you can get into that area to weld or not and you probably can't get into the space to clean it up (prep metal) to weld. I'll shoot some pictures, you'll see what I mean.

Power Effects mufflers may be cool and high quality, had them briefly on my last Z and the drone drove me crazy. Couldnt wait to get them off. Didnt matter which way I had them adjusted. That was my experience at least.

The sound would be awesome but be aware that there will be intense resonance (drone) and about 1800 and 3400 rpms at light to moderate throttle. I tested lots of exhaust systems in the '90s and Power Effects was one of the worst for resonance, and it would be enhanced with 3" pipes. --Bob
