Adjustable aluminum gas pedal installed.

1 Attachment(s)
Didn't want to modify the car so I ordered an adjustable aluminum gas pedal cover. Will (hopefully) make heel/toe easier. Wasn't a quick install due to the room in the drivers floor board (you all know what I am talking about) but about 20 minutes. Raining today so no test drive yet.

That's very slick. Nice heel and toe mod. I can't imagine all 6'4 of me working down there.

There is a back plate behind the pedal, and two bendable metal straps that fit very tight around top and bottom of pedal...attached by 5mm torx screws. Then on the front the actual aluminum plate) there for 5 torx bolts of different lengths and different size spacers (depending on if you want the pedal at factory depth or closer to front of seat, 3 sizes to choose from, then one torx that you can adjust the fan splade to the width from the brake to gas pedal. It is very secure, and it fits the Corvette fine, but it is the maximum width of the supplied bands. I am going to drive it and see if I chose the right spacing, I went for maximum length spacers. I think it was around $60 and it can be removed for the stock look if wanted.

Appreciate detailed description.

Its not pretty but it seems like a great concept! Please let me know how it works. I've installed Razo pedals in the past. Never had any issues. Also bent some pedal assemblies to accomplish the same end goal that you were after. I wonder how solid that locking nut is. May want to throw some loctite on there if you havent

Re: Adjustable aluminum gas pedal installed.

So bringing up an old thread of mine. The adjustable gas pedal works great. PLENTY of adjustability to suit your preferences. My question to those that may know first hand, I have difficulty with heal/toe because of the lack of room above the pedal area. I know I can remove the cover plate but wondered what others have done and actually tried and works. I do have dedicated track shoes. I have room with heal on the carpet but that is just not working for me but I may need practice but calling it lack of space above the pedals. BTW the adjustable pedal will adjust ALL the way to the brake pedal, I actually had to adjust it back to the gas pedal side. One last think, the pedal height (brake pedal) difference is also an issue. The travel is fine and probably correct but getting my foot quickly from gas to brake while moving my foot back enough to engage the brake is a little awkward but once I get ON the brake the travel under pressure is a perfect match to the gas pedal. Thanks for any input!
