Texan BBQ: Algonquin Il

Ok, looking to see if people want to wait to have a get together when it is warmer or now? Lunch or Dinner? Day of the week?

Texan is owned by the in-laws and has been around for 20+ years. Some of you had the Chili at Haibecks......Chicago Trib voted it the best Chili in Chicago a few years ago. Real wood smoked meat, etc

Let me know, working on a discount with the in-laws, details coming soon.

I wonder how often people check these new sections

I am thinking Lunch on a Sat or Sun would work..

I cannot for the whole month of March.. maybe April.. do it when we can bring the cars and nice weather and have a little car show too..

that will drum business for them too

Just an idea but how about MB gives away a free Repo house in the Detroit Burbs with every purchase or maybe AIG stock.

Hey Guys,

I am off work tomorrw, but the bad news is I don't have a sitter. That said, if we have enough people to come in I would be glad to host everyone at the Texan.....as most of you know with my daughter's disability she sometimes has a hard time dealing with crowds and new people so I might make an early exit....however my wife will be there working all night.........Mom-in-law has said, free pop, Beer at cost, and she will give you guys the rib special which they normally only have M-Thursday.....

Thanks to everybody for coming out, I hope the food was OK. It was kind of busy and I apologize for not being able to visit much.

Don,

Let me know if the intake is ok....if you want it smoothed out more, etc let me know, you can drop if off on Sunday, on the way to Kane County fairgrounds.

Don/Hans(w/wives), AL and Pete also made a nice couple, I also was there but Hannah was not willing to sit with the group so we ran solo.

Next time it will be nicer outside....how about a breakfast on 4/4?

Sounds good. I missed the notice on the get-together held(?) last night. Frankly Iwasn't accustomed to looking here for such events.

Pete and I were discussing the possibility of setting a "standing date" e.g. say every third Friday, or mebby a Saturday pizza or breakfast or whatever. When the weather gets better, mebby we could gather the Zs at some spot and then caravan to some eatery? - - Just tossing stuff around here.

Well, I'm NOT going to be able to go on any cruises if I don't get back to "the grind". Got the intake about whipped, and now about to tackle the IHs...WooHoo!:dancing

Lee

Thanks again for the hospitality. Food and company was great.
We have noticed that you only see Pete and Al either alone or with each other. Even my wife commented what a lovely couple they make. Looks like all the time they spend together on their cars has paid off.:icon_scra
Now I have to get busy and install my intake. Come to think of it looks like this is the year for the ported intakes in N. Illinois. Got to keep up (literally) with the Jones'

Hans,

Who does Renee think is the "beard"? Pete or Al? I think Pete because of his flowing Grecian mane. :sign10::sign10:

You are the Siegfried and Roy of the ZR-1 world, much like tigers only the Zs know what happens behind closed doors. Lets just hope a Z doesn't drag one of you off by the neck like Roy.....

In all seriousness, Al and Pete know the LT-5 in and out, they are probably the best kept secret in LT-5 performance.
