Wiper blades
Anyone still have their stock wiper blades? I got some new ones from GMPartsDirect and noticed the stock replacement number (the holder too, not just the filler) isn't quite the same. It is thicker and taller than the originals. Unfortunately one of my originals bent, otherwise I'd just pull the new refills out and put them in the old holder.

Ok, here's a picture. The GM replacement one is on the car and is more rectangular/boxy. The old one is narrower and slightly shorter and is the one laying on the glass. Which one is the original style (or are neither?):

Re: Wiper blades
i`m all ears on this topic. my 90z wiper blade holders are plastic and the right one is broken. i thought but not sure it is original? 2nd owner. guess i`ll drive about 30 miles down the road to the salvage yard where i know there are c4 corvettes and buy used ones. then buy new blades.

Re: Wiper blades
I thought I was crazy....I replaced my blades/arms with GM OE replacements and they are too tall (rub hood) I tried two sets. I didnt compare them to the factory ones...guess they ARE larger.

That is the original one. The originals (arrow shaped ends) are no longer available and haven't been for quite a few years. |
Re: Wiper blades
I live in So. Fla.so I use my wipers allot. I'm on my 4th or 5th set of blades. I started using 18" . They work much better then the 20". IMHO.
