Oil Temp
Took the beast out today and flogged her before hibernation. Put her on the lift and drained the oil and tried to take off the oil fill cap. Too hot to take off. Put the temp gun to the cap and 186 degrees. The dash oil temp guage was right where it always is. Just shy of over 1/4 to 1/2. I do have the Mobile 1 all metal oil filler cap. Maybe just conductivity from the motor??
Never tried to remove the cap after driving before. Maybe just the way it is:confused: Probably a dumb questions but I am curious:o |

You're right - never got to the question:redface: Is that a high oil temp at the cap?? And yes, I know the radiator cap is hot after running.:p And I also think it is because of the aluminum cap. Just checking...:icon_scra
