Anyone know how rare this is?

A retired GM engineer would like to auction this, with part of the proceeds to go to the Chip Miller Foundation.

Looks to be an internal book for engine builders @ mercruiser.

Worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm sure there are many around just that the workers have held onto them or stored them away or thrown them out.

I have never seen one for sale.

What it is, is work instructions for Mercruiser's Quality Matrix. Each work station would have one. Typical Lean Manufacturing principles as used presently, even though it was most likely called Total Quality Principles or ISO or QS back in the day.

This was something that GM would have required if Mercruiser didn't already do it on their own at the time.

This was the norm at GM when I worked for them.
