New ECM update

Well the Mega Squirt guy's have the prototype complete. They are just awaiting my car to arrive in GA for testing and tuning. Car was shipped last week and is to arrive before the 19th of Oct.

Hopefully I'll have the first completed unit by the end of the month.

Keeping my fingers crossed!

If they want to try a mod version (396 ci Phase 2 cams let me know.)

Ron,is this a plug and play?

Do we need to replace the wire harness?

Will it show sensor functions i.e. coolant temp,TPS,timing, etc?

Pete,

Plug and play all the way... NO wire harness replacement!

It will show all the functions...

UPDATE:

I sent '93 #140 to GA a few weeks back. They have her in the Lab doing their stuff...

Their marching orders are: Plug and Play; Full functionality with the Motor; Full functionality with the car/Dash; All the newest technology and functionality to include boost control, NO2, Meth, Data Logging, USB, extra ports, learning on the fly and WBO2 just to name a few. You name it and it probably has it...

Cheers,
Ron

If the ECM's are reasonable, they will sell like hot cakes!

Any idea on pricing?

David,

Yes... they won't be as cheap as hot cakes but for a direct replacement plug and play system with all the goodies it will be a great deal. Just look at systems like Big Stuff and others that aren't plug and play. These systems will cost you twice plus what I can sell plug and play systems for. I think Corey is getting north of $1k to custom install aftermarket computers in C4 Vettes.

Here's the big Stuff 3 pricing from their website:
GEN3 PRO SEFI ECU - LS1, 16 INJECTOR, GM TRANS, DAI BS3-004-074 $3,585.00
GEN3 PRO SEFI - 8 INJECTOR to 16 INJECTOR Upgrade BS3-005-005 $1,200.00
GEN3 PRO SEFI - DUAL WB02 Upgrade BS3-005-004 $600.00
GEN3 PRO SEFI - External Crank Trigger Upgrade for C.O.P. Systems BS3-005-041 $200.00

Total (that does not include changing out your sensors to work with their unit or labor) = $5085. So I'd bet you be north of $6500 for a custom system which WILL NOT get you comparability with the ZR-1 BCM/PCM.

I'll be selling through Jerry's Gaskets. Jerry will have a Net Registry Member Pricing, Jobber Pricing and non-member pricing. Expect $2500 plus or minus...

Cheers,
Ron

Considering there are no ECM's available and this is something that can really be used with modified cars... That looks reasonable!

Can't wait to see it in use with your TT.

Congrats!

Anybody looking for a good C4 ECM replacement(non LT-5) can look here at www.dynamicefi.com. Works w TBI, TPI, and MPFI. Provisions for forced induction and NOS. This actually competes with FAST, MS, and Big Stuff. He has one for GNx applications. The neat thing is that he uses GM code on a GM ECM motherboard. I have begged Bob to do something for LT-5s to no avail so far.

Thanks David...

I think Ron B. might get one on his twin turbo before I do... I'll let Corey perfect the tune and then set me up...

Cheers,
Ron
