Help; where's this post by Marc H???
In an exhaust / header discussion thread, Marc H posted (or someone quoted him from elsewhere) , where the 'bottleneck' is in stock exhaust '90.
Anybody remember it? I need to know if it's a factor in a potential header purchase @ BG... Thanks here... |

Apparently it's not a factor; rather a separate consideration: Quote:

Schrade,
When i replaced the exhaust on my Z with the Corsa system I noticed that the inlet to the resonator in the middle of the car was only 1 5/8 inches for each side which then expanded back out on the outlet. I felt that it could be somewhat restrictive coming off the large cat converter pipe. But I,m not an expert on it. Maybe chevy had their reasons. |

I think they just cheaped out on the design and used existing restrictive resonators from lesser Corvettes.

That's why we're using Z06 exhaust control valves. No resonator but no drone either. Use an XPipe, and reduce weight.
