Targa Top Noise
Anybody experienced a targa top (glass) creaking and groaning after bumps on rough roads? Seems to be coming from the attachment points. If so, anybody know a cure?

Re: Targa Top Noise
You could try dielectric grease on all the seals and make sure it is tight but not over tight I have seen tops that have been cracked from over tightening. I use dielectric grease on all my weatherstripping once a year and it still looks new and seals great. You may also want check that the mounts are all still tight on the frame and the pins on the top.

Re: Targa Top Noise
Try installing targa top anti squeak pads
http://www.mamotorworks.com/corvette...1-163-762.html These Seal Pads are OE for 1992-96 Corvettes. Plant engineers added them to the roof panels to quiet some of the continuous squeaks and rattles. We've expanded the idea by using a sound insulation material. Retro your 1984-91 or replace existing foam seal pads on your 1992-96 Corvette. Adhesive-backed for easy installation. Instructions included. Set of 4. |
