I think that is a 90 that was manufactured in 1989, low # its #27

Exactly,..Probably built in july/aug 89. For the next year.

However I would see if it was also a PEP car.

That car is not an '89. It is a '90 that my have been purchased in '89. The L in the VIN verifies it as a '90MY. It is an early car for sure. When I was keeping track of ZR-'s there were only two earlier cars I logged, both are on the members owner list of the Registry #4 and #26. #26 shows to be in Finland.

As far as how many '89's are floating around, none to speak of, at least none for sale commercially. There were only 84 built and they were never released to the public for sale. The GM Heritage Museum auctioned a few off at Barrett-Jackson and not sure how many they have left. There's a few scattered around the country right now, Snake Skinner, Snake Skinner II, a few Active Suspension cars, a few private owners that bought the cars at the BJ Auctions. Very rare and very valuable if they ever come up for sale again.

That car was built the same month as mine (#77).

Vetman, if you have information on the first 84 made. That would be great.
