Clutch Replacement

I think I'm going to have to replace my clutch soon. Not looking for anything exotic, just basic stock replacement. Any suggestions? Any tips on where I should have this done or would any decent transmission shop be able to do a good job? Thanks for your input.

I am going to have to replace mine soon also, clutch is engaging pretty high. A good shop that knows ZF's might be hard to find, may want to pay the extra for a good vette shop. I have heard that for stock or lightly modded ZR1's the stock clutch is the best choice.

Even for heavily modified cars the stock clutch seems to hold up well. Ask Dwight Eickmeier with his 415 C.I. 600+ RWHP car. He is still using the stock pieces. A good reputable shop in your area should be able to handle the clutch job. It is straight forward. Bill Boudreau is well versed in the tranny arena (www.zfdoc.com). He is in Phoenix.

Thanks for the tips. I would be looking for a stock replacement, so it sounds like Carolina Clutch is a good way to go. Now I just need to find a good transmission shop to do the work.
