Here's a thread w a Z06 owner posting his trap speeds for a Texas mile event.

1 mile 174

Just for comparison's sake, Pete did the 1/2 mile 2 years ago @ 154
and Al did it last year at 160+. Both NA cars v a S/C one.

Yeah. Z06 available w an 8 speed Auto along w M7. Not a DCT, BUT REPORTEDLY shifts faster than the Porsche DCT.

I ran 176 in the mile several years ago in my l
415 with a terrible launch & a short mile (Nellis AFB, Las Vegas)

My normally aspirated 415 dyno'd at 540 RWHP on the Std scale. Est Crank Hp, adjusted to SAE was probably in neighborhood of 630.
I would expect an A8 ZO6 with more power & better Aero to have been in the 185-190 range. I wonder if it had the most aggressive track aero pkg? Could have slowed it down some.

Everybody brings up the aero pkg and this or that, but then why does a 550-600hp GTR which weighs a lot more beat the new vette? I think except for ideal temp conditions that these cars are not making 650hp.
