From the dealers add it appears to be a fine example of a 90 ZR-1

Dealer doesn't know if the injectors have been replaced etc. I was hoping someone in the zr1 community knew more about the car. Thx

If they have no record of injectors ever being replace use it as a negotiating point with the dealer.

I went to look at it a couple of months ago with Charlie (dredgeguy). I went to look at it for my Dad who was looking to buy a Z and has since purchased another one.

This car was in pretty good shape. The engine was pretty clean. The hood looked like it was a little misaligned with the front bumper though but can probably be adjusted. The driver's side door seal was torn a little and there was a trim piece missing around the electronic seat controllers in the console. When I asked if the injectors had been replaced, the salesman said no. The car still had the original gatorback tires installed.

We didn't drive the car because it had just rained and they didn't want us to take it out. That's all that I can remember right now. Maybe Charlie will chime in with other details.

It had both tops and the painted one had some scratches in it. As Matt said, the drivers door seal had a 2" section torn out and also the rear hatch seal separated in the corner. Paint could use some good buffing. It has been sitting outside for several months now. Nothing that some TLC and $ can't fix. The way it sits now, you would have room to get them to come further down. I was at a car show at that dealer 2 weeks ago and got first place in the C4 division. After the show, several people asked me to look at that car with them and we went over the differences between my 92 and the 90 for sale. Hope that helps. Let me know if you want us to ask to take it for a ride

Amazing that within such a short period of time I've had my questions answered to the details. I love this forum and you guys are great. I have enough information now to make a decision and avoid a long and costly trip. I think I'm going to pass on this one. By the time I replace the injectors and do everything else I might as well look for another one. The dealership was not very flexible on the price and that didn't help. Thx again for all the help! The search continues.

Hello Mike!

What were they asking for it (not that I'm in the market per se')? $1500 for injectors, rubber, and misc would be about what you've described.

BTW, I used to know a great guy that went by the name "Mike G" on the GoGo Varmint board...I don't suppose???
