Interesting pic-"wide" tires vs. "narrow" tires
 

Found this pic online and thought I'd share it. It highlights how some tires APPEAR so much wider than others of the identical size. This happens to be an '87 Corvette with stock-size 255/50/16s all the way around. The rears (in the foreground of the pic) are Michelins and the fronts (background) are Goodyears. Notice how much wider the Goodyears appear, due simply to the shape of their casing. This goes back to earlier discussions we've had on which tires are widest, and I just thought this particular pic offered an interesting vantage point.
