What would you do?

I have a 90 zr-1 that was originally red on black but somewhere along the line painted it black which is in perfect condition.

I'm torn to convert it back to red to sell it. It has 74k miles and is perfect except factory was red but somewhere along the line got painted black

Would it raise the value and how much to have painted correct color to vin?

IMO, it won't matter to anyone buying it as a driver since it's not a low miler. Buying for fun and probably not investment at this point.

PS
You'll miss it when it's gone!!!

If you paint the car it's money you won't get back, sell it as is is the best choice.

I agree. If the black paint is in good shape, leave it. You won't recover the cost of a good paint job when you sell.

I was in the same boat. I painted it and decided to keep it :-)
