Power Steering Rack model number

Anybody know what model our Power steering rack is. They seem to have a two letter designation. Are they the same as a regular C4 ?

My build sheet has the 2 letter designation of AW for the Steering gear

My GM parts data shows the steering gears are all the same from 90-96 but the info does not list steering rack codes after 1985.

What if any is the 2 letter code on the "end plug" at the pinion/spool valve housing. I've never compared that to the build sheet of any car. It would be an interesting check. I've also never seen the code mentioned for anything '90 or newer and I'm quite sure they're identical. All service SPO" racks are the same '90+.

It's a damn Saginaw rack and any "reseller" should be able to ask the right questions. A C4 rack is a "you pick" the ratio!!

I believe the ratio was spec'd to 15.7:1 and mentioned as being 2.32 turns
