Noise after turning off headlights / parking lights
 

When I turn off my head lights or even just the parking lights there is a clicking noise somewhere under the hood.
Quite noticeable maybe 5-10 clicks.
Anyone have any idea what that is?
Is it normal?

It could be the headlight motor starting to go. open the hood and have a friend turn youhead light on then off . you should be able to locate the noise from that . hope that helps.

Hey Turbodid you see that our new prez answered your ? on drag slicks in your post on that item??? I see that he is selling his turbo V6 car as well...I had sent him a PM so u could hook up with him and learn more from all exp with the turbo's v6...go back and check out the thread...If yo make a reply post there it will trigger his thread tracker and he will see your post.

More than likely not the motor, but the actual gear iteself or also the bushings may have deteriorated.

What's strange to me is that if I turn on the parking lights only, then turn them off, I still hear the noise. Does that make sense considering the headlights were not turned on in the first place?

yep...headlight bushings.
