Anyone interested in a 1990 Z for 12,900 ?

Don't know how to forward the link but,Hollywood motors in Babylon Long Island NY has a 90 for 12,900....

If you google them it has around sixty photos of the car...Its red/ black interior w around 65K miles.......The guys that own the dealership used to have a pretty funny cable show about selling used cars.....I believe they are brothers...I have seen them at times around local car shows and they have sold a few Zs in the past..

They deal with a lot of classic cars....There inventory does seem to change often so I'm guessing there cars do sell......Anyway never had personal sales transactions with them but they seem to be pretty decent guys...

12,900 ? That's pretty low if you ask me especially for dealer retail.....

Prolly has (typical) OEM injector issues(?), or the like; simple fix(es) dealers may not have the local talent to deal with them...my guess.

I would offer less if you can determine they took it in trade. I saw a dealer here take a cherry mid-high mile '92 on trade-in for $13k. Somebody bought a new C7- a nice original owner 92...

I will never buy one of these cars sight unseen again though...

Agreed.....I bought mine sight unseen from Gateway classics back in Nov of 14....Got what I felt a good deal back than....Car knock wood is a solid Z....Like you say though, I don't think I can do that again....

Yeah, but $12.9 and from a dealer ... that's a pretty good price

The skeptic in me says there is an issue with this vehicle. Most classic dealers would not offer a clean moderately high milage example of a ZR-1 for 12.9K.....I hope.

Not the whole interior, mainly that seat bolster. Looks like a BIG boy crammed his butt in there for 60K mi.

Q?- What's cheaper, having a pro replace that damaged leather, or buying a used replacement seat?

Doesn't look like a bad car, but you can't tell everything from those lo-rez smartphone pix. I'd check for the usual ZR-1 problems, and beat up the dealer for anything that needs to be fixed. Injectors make it run rough?=$$$$$! Synchros click?=$$$$$$$$$!
Walk in there with $10K, you might own it. :coffee:

I just got a quote last week from a guy who does leather repair on cars. An Older guy that comes very highly recommended...I have a hole in my drivers side bolster, that is getting larger and larger. He looked at it and said about $300 to replace the leather. But I see on EBAY, 2 original, saddle in color, OEM seat covers....both for $500. I'm almost in the boat of buying the original ones for $500, and doing the work myself.
