I've seen this a time or two over the years.
Probably help those who live in hot climates.
Not so good for those who drive their ZR1's in the rain or through mud puddles.
NCRS guys won't like 'em at all.

I have one, like it.

I *think* it helps, but can't prove it. My stock '91 would get hot at the track, then I replaced the radiator (with thicker aftermarket) and installed the Big Mouth at the same time. I also spent some time blocking off air gaps (seen in picture below) and installed a screen to stop leaves, stones, etc. (not in picture).

When I removed the stock radiator it had a lot of sand and junk clogging it up.

I don`t wanna miss it anymore! Best for German highways: big mouth intake, DeWitts aluminium radiator and 160°F thermostat.

Can you please post a picture of the screen? I'm thinking of doing something like that. Thanks!

OK. You made me go down to the garage and lay on the floor. Not a great picture but should give you an idea.

I just kept snipping and bending until it fit and was somewhat sturdy (enough) on its own. It's a little box-shaped with sides, top and bottom folded back, then wired to the middle bracket to help hold it in place. Tie wraps would work, too.
