GM announced that the C8 would be an ME platform during the reveal of the C7 ZR1. They put it out there in the open and it seems to have flown under the radar. Here’s the slide in the Chevrolet presentation at Dubai w that little tidbit of information.

An update!

It seems the video, which was done by someone not affiliated w GM, slipped the presentation into the video making it appear as if it was GM sourced. It wasn’t.
Therefore, the speculation on an ME platform for the C8 continues.

Thought so...seems pretty odd that GM would've used a C5 logo on the slide.

Maybe their recycling the C5 logo for the C8 just like the LT5 designation.....lol...

Don't think Corvette has a choice. Gonna have to do something dramatic to transcend the current HP war they're stuck in.

I hope they offer both platforms. Going ME only will price the car out of reach for many

My concern as well... now if they can pull off a ME car for say under $60k in base form people will be lined up to buy one.
