Unique Find
I was cleaning the interior of my car this weekend and when I removed the passenger seat, lo and behold, under was the Parking Brake, Automatic Car Wash and the Break-In and ABS notices. I am assuming these were placed in the car prior to delivery and had to be removed by the owner. They are now safely in the Pizza Box. Anybody got a picture or description of where these were placed when the car was delivered?
What I can't believe is that someone would pay $65k+ for this car and then just throw these tags under the seat and forget about them. The previous (original) owner took delivery on 11/06/90, so these have been there for over 16 years. I think I saved this car. |
Re: Unique Find
I know exactly how you feel...Even though my car had pretty low miles when I bought it...the guy I don't think ever cleaned the A-arms or under carriage.

Re: Unique Find
That is really cool. I've only had my car since last May. I think I should go have a closer look under my seats as well!

Nice find John...all I've found so far is a screw that I haven't found a home for yet.[-X

Re: Unique Find
On top of that, when I first got the car I fished out almost $5 in change from under the drivers side seat. I had been wanting to clean under both since then and just got a carpet cleaner so figured now was the time. I only found 46 cents under the passenger though. Bummer.
Thanks for the replies guys. |
Re: Unique Find
that parking brake tag was on the the brake handle of my 90 the first time i went to look at it last July. when i opened the door i thought that was pretty cool.

Maybe I'll look under my pass seat.....who knows I might find more screws to go with the five I found already in various spots. Though I found homes for most of them when I pulled the radio head to get the CD repaired.:sign10: Hammer that's nice to find some useful stuff....my OO didn't even remember about the pizza box. I asked & he said "Oh, yea I think I still have it somewhere in the attic." I was so happy when the car showed up with the kit relatively intact.  Tom |
