Is there a forward facing Iphone mount? (ie for trackdays)
 

Looking for a FORWARD facing mount for an Iphone to record an upcoming track day. Can seem to find one that is forward facing. Anyone have a model to recommend? Thanks.

Also, all the camera apps support obd 2 connections. Anyone recommend a recording app that either works with obd1 or uses internal iPhone gps and g forces to add that data to videos? Thanks

the one and only track day I've done at VIR (parade charity laps) I wanted to record and didn't have a go pro handy so I taped the iphone to the visor and pointed it forward. Worked in a pinch. video came out pretty good and I got the old gal up to 130 or so which was plenty for me!



I have a windshield suction cup that's strong enough now to mount on the windshield that does a good job holding the phone steady.


It came with my c5 is just a standard suction cup with phone clamp that works well.

Attachment 14690 I use this one. It gives me landscape view for navigation and obviously video front view. I will try to recall the maker of it.

I might add, that if you go off road in a corner, the g-force is great enough to knock the setup off the windshield. That happened to me with a GoPro mounted that way.
