Starter Interrupt relay

I've been going back and forth with this issue with my 93 ZR-1. When the starter interrupt relay gets hot, I can't start the engine. Does anyone have the GM part number for the relay and do they still make them? I called a bunch of automotive stores and they don't have any in stock.

Re: Starter Interrupt relay

Where is it located on the car? You have a part number?

I don't have a part number. That's what I'm trying to find out. It located behind the driver side dash panel. It's a pain to replace.

Re: Starter Interrupt relay

IS this the one that is listed in the FSM as Starter Enable Relay? (Page 8A-201-9, Figure 24 of the 1990 FSM)

I want to confirm before giving you bad info

Re: Starter Interrupt relay

My car is a 93 ZR-1 and it is different than the 1990 ZR-1. The relay is on page 8C-28 and is diagram 32. I looked online at Rock Auto and the part that you mentioned is different than what I see. Thanks for the help.

Re: Starter Interrupt relay

Probably a smaller form factor. I don't have a 93 FSM so I can't check it out

4 Attachment(s)
I had a quick look in the Corvette Part books. I have two versions :

- a PDF one which covers 1984 to 1996 (quite old)
- A printed version which covers 1984 to 1993 (got it 2 years ago, recently printed).

In the PDF (1984 - 1996) :

The official part number seems to be :

GM 14100455 or AC-DELCO #15-8426 which is a 5 pins relay.

In the book, they group all the Instrument Panel relay under a single schematic number (31). I guess that was easier than drawing every single relays.

In the printed book (1984 - 1993) I get :

GM 25520198.

This is also a 5 pin relay.
