Walbro pumps

Has anybody had experiance using Walbro fuel pumps as a replacement for the fuel pumps in a Z?

I was thinking about this. What would be the reason it couldn't be done?

I can be done there is alittle to mod but it is not bad I have a Walbro pump in both. On mine the Walbro pump was wider than the stock one and the sleve that the stock pump sits in had to be cut to open up some more room.

I finally got a response. Yea!

I almost thought I was pioneering again. :)

So, would it be better to aquire another float assembly and hack that one? Just for purity's sake, in case somebody else wanted to "restore" the car?

Seems to be the one to run. All the Fbody (mullet heads) and Rustangs around here run them.

My car has a roll cage in it so I just cut the one in the car. I would say what ever you wanted to do but I think it comes from GM with the pumps all together so if you are going to do that just put it back the stock ones. I do not think the car picks up anything changing them I just did not want to spend the money on the stock stuff when I had two new Walbros that I did not use in my Grandnational just sitting around.

That's what I thought, a less expensive route if I needed to replace the pumps.
