SLP intake filters

Hi everyone

Just bought an SLP intake and the filters are squashed. Does anyone know what the filter replacements are or where I can get some.

The filters that are on it are K&N and have a number on the end that reads B03584 which could be a serial number but the K&N site doesn't recognise it.

Thanks

Dave

I agree with Kevin.

I haven't put it on yet, I hadn't heard of any clearance problems though. Thanks for the heads up, I'll check it. If anyone knows the filter p.no. I'd still appreciate it.

I'm quite confident the K&N # is RB-0720. The flange where it attaches to the "intake tubes" is NOT straight, it has a small angle to it. I measured mine dimensionally and used their calculator and its a "dead match"! Mine is an SLP commonly referred to as the "Claw" I believe.

Here's a link to the dimensions, you should be able to confirm them. I used their main page and the "by dimension" calculator on the left. I used only the exact dimensions of OD, Length and ID of intake. The flange angle is/was unknown!

I believe that SLP provides some spacers for the fit to the "upper shroud" and you don't use any of their hardware. I don't recall any clearance issues. A clearance issue could be caused by the "angle" of the mounting flange not being "rotated" to the correct orientation on the intake. Use two of your air cleaner "thumb screws" and fit the assembly to your shroud. Looks substantially better NOT using their hardware.

I think they must have changed filters at some point - the SLP site lists the Blackwing but mine is definitely K & N and I remember seeing them on the SLP site that way.

They definitely used K&N filters before the blackwing ones. Mine has K&N also. I thought I saved one of the box tops to keep the part #, but I can't find it...

That looks like a perfect match! Thanks for the detailed response and info on the clearance issues.
