Correct Battery for ZR-1?
What was the correct battery (part number would be helpful) for a 1990 ZR-1?

Re: Correct Battery for ZR-1?
The correct battery for the 1990 ZR1 is a Delco Freedom Battery, model 75-695, and it has a CCA of 695 amps. They have been discontinued for a long time, and all Delco Freedom Batteries were discontinued over 5 years ago.

Have a Duralast Gold but cant remember the number. Bought it at Autozone so just call them. There is a poll on here somewhere with a bunch of batteries that fit the ZR1.

damn, i assumed there were re-po's of the original battery kind of like how they do delcos for the gm muscle cars.
thanks for the help folks |
Re: Correct Battery for ZR-1?
Someone on our forum was doing a reproduction of the original sticker, but I cannot recall who. A quick search should bring it up.
 BTW- The poll/thread referred to earlier is linked here. http://zr1netregistry.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1351 |

Check the NCRS judging manual for ZR-1s. Great source of info for deciding what to go after that'll give you the greatest point value related to ease of application of your talents and $$.. |
Re: Correct Battery for ZR-1?
Good stuff, it's my fathers Z (hopefully mine someday), i dont think he's worried about NCRS judging though. He just tasked me to find OEM replacement stuff. It has 11k original miles on it (364miles when he bought it). He has the damn thing bone stock down to the paper air filter. I beleive he even uses a delco oil filter?
