Brakes
I am thinking of buying Wilwood SL6R Front brake kit. superlite 6 piston billet calipers ,Alum. Hats with 13 in. rotors does any one have this set up on there car? How do you like Them? How Good Are They?
Thanks Bob G. |
Re: Brakes
They work nice and I get plenty of complimants on them! A quility upgrade for sure, but I have to run a 3/8" spacer when I bolt up the sixteens for the track.

I like the C6 brake upgrade and you can have it done right for "cheap". Powdercoat them and get the brackets from Jeff F. http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...l/C6brakes.jpg |
Re: Brakes
Just in case anyone wants to see a Z51 brake set on a C6 with powder coat calipers/brackets/pad backing plates (which is what you can do if you want for a ZR-1) here is my set up on my C6>> NOTE: I am a 'contrarian' and decided on satin black finish instead the more common often used red or yellow or blue..but all is matter of subjective taste

No. The C6 Z51 uses a 13.4" rotor. You can get it inside the barrel, but you leave no margin for error. No wheel weights, no caliper flex, no debris and no room for heat ventilation. You can use the C6 caliper with a "base" C6 rotor or a C5 rotor. |

what are the base C6 and C5 rotor dimensions? Is there a write up on what brake upgrades can be done and a parts list? What about rear upgrades, other then to a BBK? |
