One more shipping disaster story

Well I bought a 90-91 ECM and two proms from a guy. He mailed them to me express mail with tracking via USPS. I eagerly tracked them when last Saturday, I noticed that it said....delivered to Rochelle, Il.

WHAT!(I live in Crystal Lake)

After contacting a multitude of people, the USPS was at a loss, they said apparently what happened is the label was not put on properly and it was stuck to another envelope and scanned for delivery in Rochelle, Il. They also told me I was SOL. They offered to refund my shipping(HA!)

Amazingly enough the package was returned to sender for not having any postage. So its back en route to Crystal Lake Il....via UPS.

For some reason every transaction is a PITA, but seems to work its way out. Llesson learned, go FedEx or UPS.

FedEx! Cheaper faster and when it absolutely, positively has to get there.

LGAFF, NOW MY STORY! maybe it will be intersting to you..

Before 4 weeks, I purchase new Turbo for my Audi TT from USA.
I told the company to send it with Global Express (USPS). 4-5 day delivery!

Guess what, after 4 days ( USA to KUWAIT), i had my package with Fedex truck next to my door.
I ask the man, he told me Global USPS deal with Fedex now to send packages to KUWAIT!
So i dont know in Local delivery within states, how the system works there :dontknow:

DHL is the only shipper I've never had a problem with. Though maybe I just haven't shipped enough stuff...

I see a FedEx truck at our Post Office often. FedEx has a contract with USPS to do some of the overnight package handling.

That's very surprising!

Especially since ABX/AIR Hung on and made money for over 20 years, dhl buys domestic from abx but couldn't buy airline, only ground since they are foreign, lost customers and I forget how many billion from day one they lost, which took about 4 years or 5 to loss it. Went from over 100 flights a day to 17 now. Doors will be closed soon and another American Airline closed down(maybe it was the plan all along).

They might be able to ship freight in Germany, but they wouldn't listen for domestic over here. Ok, I feel better now.
