Re: Plenum pull scope creep
I figured replacing the coolant was going to be a pain without the air bleed path through the plenum/TB. I read Marc's article about lifting up the passenger side of the car, and the revision using...

Re: Plenum pull scope creep
I tested all of the individual lines and fittings with a hand pump brake bleeder with vacuum gauge. Everything under the plenum checked out, so I buttoned up the plenum and put the power plates back...

Re: Plenum pull scope creep
Sorry for the lack of updates, but I ended up with no issues during the plenum pull. There was a lot of cleanup under the plenum that was necessary. Cleaned up all of the coils, put the new starter,...

Re: Plenum pull scope creep
If the Power Plates actually make a difference and aren't just snake oil, I might be tempted to put them back on (but probably WITH gaskets this time :) ) but since I already have some scuffs on the...

Re: Plenum pull scope creep
From what I remember, the Power Plates were made by AO Engineering. I might still have the original instructions somewhere with all the paperwork I got with the car when I bought it. These were...

Plenum pull scope creep
I've got a 94 with just over 40k miles on it, had a no start happen for the first time last week so I ordered a new (I'm guessing reman) AC Delco starter. It showed up today, waiting on Jerry to get...

Re: FINALLY!
Hey that car looks familiar. Took this pic in 2006 right after I got my Z at a local cruise night here in Bloomington. The guy you bought it from lives less than a mile from me (or at least he used...

Re: Putnam Park
I don't have much that's recent, I went through several cameras and am now using the GoPro HD, this was back in 2006 using a Sony helmet cam plugged into a camcorder that I had in a tankbag :o.
I...

Re: Putnam Park
I've not been on the track in a car, but I've done a bunch of motorcycle track days there. I can run pretty consistent 1:19's, just wondering what the car lap times were. I have some video from on...

Past, Present, and Future ZR-1
After reading through the thread on Michael Beal's topless ZR-1 I was amazed that someone remembered seeing a captioned pic of the car from years ago in a magazine. I'm always on the hunt for more...

Re: What to Buy When Ready for new 17" Tires?
I'm looking at options for tire replacement also. My Z sat for several years after having the rears replaced (PO never drove it) and they are currently GSC's with a 2000 date code. I put new fronts...

Re: Honestly would you rather have a z06?
I wouldn't mind having a new Z06, but I wouldn't sell the ZR-1 to get one.
I'm never selling my ZR-1, too much family history (was my Uncle's #1 car before he passed away) and also the car has a...

I was there for a few days back in November, and I saw a pretty rough red 1990 parked outside a restaurant on the northeast side of Oahu. It was maybe a couple miles south of the Polynesian cultural...

Samco hose lead time?
I was just wondering if the Samco hoses have to be bought by the registry several sets at a time, or a per-order basis? I'd like to order a set of the black hoses, but was wondering how long the...
