Pocketbook is the limit on what you should/can do. I don't think the plenum is that hard to pull myself. My wife did it just fine. Get the LT5 supplement and it walks you through it step by step. There are many items you can replace under the plenum while you are there. Coils, plug wires, starter, vacuum lines and many other items. If the car is running good, you might want to just wait. If you do the injectors yourself, you'll see it's pretty easy to pull the plenum.
If you decide to replace the injectors, I can recommend the injectors from FIC, I've had the rebuilt ones over 2 years now, no problems at all. $350 and you are good to go.
