Very perceptive ... and glad you brought it up. Indeed, as the Registry has grown in many different ways over the past several years we've allowed some of our growth to be a "patching" up of existing elements within the organization. We are currently studying & working hard to implement new procedures & software to streamline & automate all aspects of the Registry in order that all members receive the best possible service and without delay.
While some of the things are done quasi-automatically, many processes still require human intervention and we are all VOLUNTEERS who occasionally have to devote time to our jobs, families, etc. As Membership Director it is my personal goal to respond to all requests, emails, etc. within 24 hours (
and normally do) but sometimes that's not always possible. And sometimes, in an expectation of "instantaneous" everything, we receive an email within 30 minutes of a member renewing/joining inquiring "where their stuff is".
Anyway, please note that the board recognizes that we can improve the Registry and we're working hard toward that end. Again, thanks for your comment ... and perceptive observations.
