Ok, I got the Ferrari layout wrong, but my point, in general, was that cars with better weight bias (Ferrari and RWD Porsche 911s) or AWD (Nissan GTR) are always going to have an advantage in a drag race.
As for the big heavy wing idea, would the extra rear bite compensate for the extra weight?
Of course the other side of the coin comes on the track. Seems the 3G ZR1 does pretty darn well on the Nordschleife at the 'Ring.
And, on that note, I'll hijack this thread and put a new question out to the experts here:
What would it take to make a 2G ZR1 as quick around the Nurburgring as is the 09-13 ZR1?
