Yes, at that speed things do happen very quickly. There are several things you can do to help you when attempting to go fast. One, and imo, is to have very good tires. I mean VERY good tires. You also might consider doing those runs by yourself. You do have good life insurance don't you. :-) I was asked by my wife to increase mine when I started high speed racing. I did as she asked.
