I believe I've got correct codes now for years '94 and '95 that don't follow the several decade old sequence but I'm quite confident they're correct. I'll just do the C4 years that involved ZR-1 production 1989 through 1995.

The months seem to be consistent:

N/January,X/February,L/March,G/April,J/May,I/June,U/July,T/August,A/September,Y/October,C/November,V/December

The years:

C/1989, G/1990, J/1991, A/1992, Z/1993, X/1994, Y/1995

The years through 1993 follow an LOF format that was used from early in the 1950's - the years 1994 through end of C4 production don't follow that format. Why? Don't know. 1996 production would be a U and I mention that only because it closes the C4 production. I expect it has something to do with a 1994 settlement between the US Justice Dept and Pilkington who controlled the LOF branding and float glass technology used at the time.

'93, '94 & '95 owners if you'd like to check and confirm - please do! The codes are for the production month/year of the glass NOT the MY of the car!
