I was also tired of 20 years of swirl marks so I had the paint professorially "conditioned". Two guys spent an entire day polishing it (no sandpaper). Improvement was amazing. Yes your paint has clear coat and BTW the detailers commented before they started that the older Corvettes like ours had quite hard paint, especially compared to the current water based paints. -Bob
