Rich the problem with upgrading and adding the AUX input is a CD still has to run to use it. So the black rubber band that rotates and continues to power even though the AUX is being used just like the Old cassette adaptors. My suggestion is this little $25 unit solves that problem vs having to pull anything. The repair and aux mod alone is very pricey. IKE has found a cheap and elegant solution. GC
