Marc Haibeck showed me an engine with 170k on it that was used as a track car. It came in to be "freshened up"; new bearings, rings, etc. According to Marc, it had some wear, of course, but the bearings, sleeves, rings, etc. were still in spec.

I wonder what condition the chain guides were in if they had not been changed out in 170K miles?
