With the advent of a completely new platform, I welcome GMs embrace
of the DOHC architecture for its “halo” product. It now directly connects the
C4 ZR w the future of Corvette. I don’t think our cars lose their uniqueness and GM now has both FE and ME implementations of the DOHC in their portfolio.
I have always believed that in order for our community to continue its vitality, we need to welcome this diversity. The new generation of Corvette buyer that the ME is clearly aimed at should get an opportunity to understand and appreciate the world beating “provenance” it has w the C4 ZR in its history.
As for hp, I’d be happy w the 600hp NA version as a great combo for street/track
duty.
