Of course there are too many variables to say definitively yes, but generally new cars are faster.

But, I doubt someone driving a newer car is having more fun than a C4 ZR-1 driver on track. For example, I’ve enjoyed a slight 4 wheel drift through T1 at Rd Atl at maybe 85-90 MPH, whereas a new Corvette would go faster and stick. More lateral G’s, but more fun?
