Scott, yes on ofthe upgrades in the later 93-95 motors was a 4 bolt bottom end. It doesn't make any difference in hp. The only thing that does affect hp is the injector housing revision & a small change in camshafts. There was no change to the intake manifold other than adding in the EGR port on the passenger side.

On the autoX, the ZR-1 is heavily penalized with the extra weight up front, and also with most courses now being designed and better suited toward the Mini, WRX and other small cars. The ZR-1 really shines on the road course where you can stretch the legs.

For suspension mods you are kind of limited to the usual sway bars, coilovers, some geometry brackets and heim jointed end links.
