I have a soft spot for these promos. My dad and I would go to the local Chevy dealer and get each year's issues in the '80s and '90s. Not just Corvettes, but the Camaros, El Caminos, Cavaliers, etc. He was very big in to the promo scene with cars from the late '40s up to the early 2000s. There were big "toy" shows in Toledo, OH, PA, and other venues around the country to trade them.
You can take a look at known promos issued here -

23 years ago when I bought my LT4, I bought a case of the '95 yellow ZR-1s (very cheaply). Now that I have an actual yellow '95 ZR-1, these are even more appropriate. I can't get enough of these, of course!
You learn something new every day... and a couple years ago, I found there was a run of '95 yellow ZR-1s with "Last ZR-1" on the plates. These were supposed to have been destroyed (since the last one was red), but a few survived. I have two of them now.
Lots of neat stories on these promos... there were ~50 '89 white ZR-1s that survived (the rest were destroyed).
Also, I'd say the lighting might be off on Steve's picture. The colors of the promos were generally very close to the real colors, even though they weren't always painted.
