What are the main points of Marc's method of replacing coolant

The reason I am asking is that maybe Marc is altering those methods.
It seems I have a plugged heater core. Hot line in and cool or slightly warm on the short u tube out to tank. I tried parking the car on an extreme angle with the passenger side raised very high. No bubbles during warm up with cap removed.
I believe she is full and no bubbles are in it. any one had any luck back flushing heater cores? It looks like I have a project.
