Any 90-91 ZR-1 owners that have a bad A/C Programmer know what a bitch they are to locate, esp. the 1990's We've being rebuilding them for the past 2 years with hit or miss results, sometimes they work and others not. I got fed up with this hit or miss approach so decided to try something different.
I had a brand new 92-93 LT1 programmer in stock and said lets plug it into this 1990 and see what happens, low and behold, everything works a treat. I knew the 1990 L98 & LT5 are interchangeable, as are the 1991's, but now the good thing is we can buy brand new 92/93 programmers for a very good price and use them for all 90-93 cars L98 - LT1 - LT5. Hope it helps someone down the road. |
