I would very much like to have headers on my Z but being that i live in the socialist state Kalifornia, I do not want to run the risk of not passing my next dreadded smog exam... That being said, anybody know of california emissions legal headers for a 94 LT5?

The older version of Watson headers had the AIR tubes connected to them. That will probably get you past the somg Nazis. The problem is going to be finding a set. They are around.

Patton, I don't think the headers would be the problem, but the cats definitely will. I think a set of headers with Random Technology hi flow cats should pass. I also remember someone saying these cats cost them less than ten hp. If that is true than that would by no means negate the gain from the headers. I live in Ma. so that will most likely be the road I take.

The problem w/ cali is they look for the airtubes and all other emission equipment... I think your only option is to find a set with the tubes, or just hope they don't recognize they are missing... |

Thanks alot guys, I appreciate all your advice!
I found some shorties on the Lingenfelter site that is 50 state legal and has the AIR tubes, I believe they use Hooker stuff. As for the cats, I have no education on the different options yet so I have some homework to do! Thanks again! |
