Yes, it was the only short shifter available.. Before B&M, Hurst and ZFDoc..
I prefer the hurst (and probably the ZFDoc, but never tried his)

Interesting I guess it's good if you want to keep the factory shifter height.

Me either! I drove a friends really sweet 95 a few months ago. It is 100% stock. No offense but the stock shifter felt like I was paddling a canoe.
The Hurst has that positive notchiness & the right leverage from the center 3/4 gate that makes gear selection a piece of cake.
