Default Need more noise, but got no money

Had my 93 ZR-1 for about 6 months now, enjoyed my first trip a couple weeks ago (about 1k miles round trip), and I think so far my only disappointment with the car is that it's just way too quiet! Even my 77 year old dad commented on how quiet it was compared to his '65 and '22.

My other daily is a 392 Challenger, which I always thought was too quiet, but it's a thundering monster compared to the nearly silent ZR-1...

Now, the answer seems to be Corsa but, from reading Haibeck's comparisons, with the 405hp cars there's not much hp to be gained from a cat-back and at well over $2k that's just too much for me to think about right now.

I've read some things implying that just cutting off the mufflers might be the best bet... Nearly free, if I don't like it presumedly I can undo my mistake for not too much.

But are we talking center muffler or rear mufflers? iirc one is supposed to be a "resonator" which I probably want to retain for highway trips. Is that the center set?

Eventually I'd like to look at doing cutouts but that gets to be an interesting engineering challenge since I'd like to keep the spare tire carrier. I know it's been done, but is a bit of a process. Also, it's not free, and as much as I want more noise, I have a few functional priorities before spending on strictly fun things.

I really wish it were easier to find *high quality* exhaust videos, but so far none I've found have been helpful.

On one of mine, the factory catalytic converters are hollowed out.... sounds great!
