I purchased this engine from Superior Chevrolet in 2002 in case I ever needed it for my '92 that I bought in 1994. I sold the '92 last year with 103,000 miles on it. I think the original engine will easily go another 110K so now this spare engine is for sale. As the pictures show this engine is still on the pallet from Stillwater, is the 405 HP version, and was prepared for long term storage on 11/06/93. It has always stayed in my heated garage for display.

I may be interested in this. My beloved 93Z got damaged from hitting deep water and hydrolocking the engine. The insurance said they will either total the car or replace the motor. How much do you think it would cost to ship to Tampa FL? Thank you!

I believe the engine weighs about 600 lbs. that doesn?t include the weight of the pallet it?s sitting on. My zip is 86314. You could probably get a quote on line from a freight shipper. A WAG would be about $750, pickup at my home to your shop.
Hope this new engine can get your z back on the road. |

Ok thank you I will look into it. Hopefully I'll hear back from my insuarnce agent this week with a definitive answer. I e-mailed him about your engine and the potential cost to ship and install.
